Ordinance Liaison Program

Our subdivision is proud of our residents, as well as the fact that we feel its a Great Place to Live.  It takes everyone in our subdivision to maintain the warm and beautiful environment in which we live. We watch out for each other.

One of the things we strive to do is help residents by making sure they don't receive violations for common ordinance issues.  Our Neighborhood Watch Block Captains help us keep watch for any ordinance issues that may come up.  They contact those residents to see if they know what our city ordinances are (every resident receives our Common Ordinance booklet we put together).  They act first to help them fix the issues before the City comes through with an actual violation warning.  This helps lighten the load of the Ordinance Department by trying to deal with the issues first.

The Golfview Manor Civic Association offers an Ordinance Liason program. Our volunteers cannot enforce, cite or write tickets for ordinance violations. However, we work with the City of Dearborn Heights Ordinance Department to recognize, address and resolve issues

Click here for CURRENT SCAM ALERTS
Spring is the season where Gypsy Scams start.  These are scammers who go door-to-door promote their services (saying you need a new roof, or new concrete to get your money and not do the job).  Please keep your eyes open for these door-to-door people.  Call the Police to report it. If you happen to open your door and talk to them, get their name and report that to the police too. They will contact the City to see if they have a CITY PERMIT.  Even legitimate Cable companies, home improvement companies, need a City Permit.

Keep your EYES Open

Many residents have these Yellow Eyes in their windows.  Its part of a program that had criminals asking what were those yellow eyes for.  The Police told criminals that we as residents have our eyes on you.  We watch for suspicious activity and report it when we see it.  So its a deterrent to criminals.

If you don't have one of these eyes, or if yours is fading, contact the NW coordinator and you will be provided with one.
